If you have been on the internet at all ever in the last 12 years, then I'm sure you are familiar with Design Sponge.

And for this week's interview, I got to sit down with the founder and editor-in-chief Grace

Bonnie, not only to talk about Design Sponge and her evolution from design blogger into

entrepreneur, business owner, but also we got to talk about Grace's

new book, which features interviews and advice from over 100 female creative entrepreneurs.

And there are so many things that I love about this book. One, it is like a raise your hand,

say yes, Bible and tell so many beautiful stories.

In a way that goes beyond the story, something Grace talks about in the interview is how she really felt a need and an obligation to tell stories that were different from the ones

that were used to hearing in the online landscape

and that she really, really tried to diversify the people she talked to in as many different

ways possible with color and sexuality and location and age and really trying to expand what we're

hearing and expand the stories that are being

told. And I love that she did that. This book is beautiful, beautifully researched, beautifully

written, beautifully shot. It is such like, I really, I think if you love this podcast,

I just, I cannot gush about the book enough. But also, it was really great to sit down and talk

with Grace about her own kind of her own journey of living her truth and saying things out loud

and making decisions that for her business that were inconvenient and risky and controversial
