Welcome to Her Money.

So did you know in 2016 for the first time ever there were more women in

their early 30s having babies than younger women according to the CDC and

there are more women having children in their

later 30s their 40s and their 50s too. Why is that? Well there are a number of

sociological reasons, but a big technological one is that more women

can.

Thanks to advancements in reproductive technology, more women are able to freeze their eggs and hopefully

freeze time at least just a little bit.

And whether they're doing this because they are uncertain about wanting children or focusing on their careers or trying to find

the right partner or you can insert your own reason right here the goal in all of this is to increase your chances of being

able to have kids later in life. The thing is and you know this if you've been listening to the news there is no

guarantee that it'll work or that if it does work something won't go wrong down

the line not to mention it can cost thousands and thousands of

dollars. All of which is why we invited a woman who has experienced all of this

firsthand to be our guest on the show.
