As the trade deadline looms near, there are always winners and losers, there's buyers and

sellers, and fan bases that inflate and deflate.

Now, after surveying the landscape so far, it's hard not to say Alex Anthopolis and the Braves

aren't clicking on all cylinders again. Alex has become the dumbledore of GMs after

making more good moves than Patrick Swayze last season, and turns out he's back on his bully

so far this year. Now, the Braves just locked up Austin Raleigh for 10 years, have a supreme

core of young talent, just brought in veteran pitcher Jake O'Doreese and Alfield or Robbie Grossman

to basically complete the jigsaw puzzle. Now, there may be some more moves left in the tank,

but I don't know how Alex isn't the best GM in the game right now. These moves at the end can

pay humongous dividends down the stretch for teams that are trying to win the World Series.

The Royal Snag Johnny Quaydo in 2015, the 2016 Cubs picked up a Raldas Chapman,

2019, the Natscott Daniel Hudson, and finally, the Braves last year pulled in Rezario, Duval,

and Solair to help catapult them to the title. Now, you never know which move might be the one

that gets you past that pivotal inning, or the guy that gets the big hit, or maybe makes the

diving catch that you had to have to survive. Now, there are still so many fireworks to come,

as Juan Soto is now a Padre, and there are others out there left as well. But regardless of which

team you root for, this time of year is not only interesting in Major League Baseball,

it could be the difference. Go ahead and bring in my co-host here, David Kohn and my brother,
