One of the great things about sports, and in particular, pro football is there's a new

motivation right around the corner.

It absolutely can happen, and it happened to the Kansas City Chiefs in the strangest way.

A team that had found its way won eight straight, looked like they were going to cruise in this one, ripping off 28 points in the first half, and having looked like it was going to be a 2814 lead at halftime, 2817 lead at the half, looked like the Chiefs were steamrolling their way to number one. Sometimes the other guy is really, really good. And Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase were

certainly that. The chiefs were also shoved around by the officials. Nobody will argue that.

I think the NFL is going to have a really difficult week this week with the review committee

in New York and the executives in charge of the officials reviewing the way this officiating crew officiated this particular game.

That's not to get into one particular play.

We know the high profile one at the end of the game.

The last thing the NFL wants is a team that's a one seed, another team that's playing for a division.

The biggest broadcast of the day, the biggest game of the day, the most fun game of the day,

decided on a silly flag in the end zone with six goal line stops and the clock running down

and nobody, essentially nobody, making a play offensively except a kicker to win a ball game.

That is not what the NFL wants.

That is bad for business. If this were reversed, I would say the same thing. If the Chiefs had won the game the same way, of course you take the win, but you would say the same thing. I've never been big about blaming games on officials, and you can't blame this game on the officials. Patrick Mahomes was not very good in the second half. The Chiefs only scored three points in the second half of this game. They essentially got shoved around and beaten up in the second

half, which would have equated to if there were regular clock usage. It would have been a 21-3

beat down in the second half. The Bengals were incredible. I'll say things that'll make you feel

uncomfortable. Jamar Chase is better than

Tyree Kill. I think Cooper Cup, Devante Adams, and others are now better than Tyree Kill.
