How can we be filled with the spirit every day?

In 1940, with German bombs raining down on London, Winston Churchill and his cabinet and staff

practically lived in their cabinet war rooms.

This fortified basement provided the Prime Minister a bedroom, his cabinet a room for meeting,

and a map room for strategy planning.

I visit the war rooms every time I'm in London and I'm always

impressed by the significance of the events that transpired there. The White

House Situation Room provides the same security to our President and his staff

today. In such war rooms battles and wars are won and lost.

Christians need a war room of the soul.

We need a place in a time where we begin each day with the Holy Spirit.

As we have seen, when we trust Christ as our Lord, we become the children of God and never need to repeat this decision.

But we need to surrender each day to God because that day is all there is.

You cannot give God tomorrow because it doesn't exist.

Each day we need to be filled for that day.

This is something like getting married. Once you have made a marriage commitment to your spouse,

you don't need to repeat your wedding each day, but you do need to recommit yourself to your marriage daily.

So with the relationship between the church, the bride of Christ, and our Lord,

Dwight Moody preached to over a hundred million people in his ministry.
