Summary

26 year old Emma Fillipoff was last seen standing barefoot on a busy intersection in downtown Victoria BC on November 28th, 2012 by the police officers who encountered Emma after responded to a call of a women in distress. In this ongoing series, Nighttime will explore the story of Emma Fillipoff by speaking to those closest to her. In part four, Our focus will shift from the events immediately surrounding Emma's disappearance to her life leading up to the events of Nov 28, 2012 via a conversation with Emma's life long close friend Ellen. In addition, This episode begins with a positive update to Shelley’s legal situation, which was discussed in part 2. 0:19.6	Shelley Philipoff's legal situation. As we heard in episode two of this series, Shelly
0:25.8	had been facing a series of charges related to cocaine and firearms offenses.
0:30.7	But fortunately, that's all behind her now. On Wednesday the
0:35.8	23rd of November 2016 all charges against Shelly Philipov had been
0:41.3	withdrawn.
0:43.0	Despite many nasty online commentators disagreeing with me,
0:47.1	I never believe these charges or any alleged criminal activity by a Philipoff family
0:51.5	member had any connection to Emma's disappearance.
0:54.0	And I'm just happy that this is all behind Shelly and she's able to continue to focus on her
0:59.3	search for Emma. If anyone is interested in more info on this legal update, I've added some relevant links in the episode notes.
1:08.0	But I have nothing else to say on the matter, so let's get to the episode. According to the

1:22.0	they went through a list of questions in order to
1:25.2	ascertain whether or not she was safe and determined that she was okay to be
1:30.0	on her own on the streets of Victoria barefoot in November and they left her there.
