That was the last time anyone ever saw. You are listening to Emma Philipoff is missing, a series by the Night time podcast. When Emma Philipoff disappeared from a busy downtown Victoria BC intersection

in November of 2012, the effects were felt far and wide.

For Emma's loved ones, on top of the heartbreak and the panic, they were left with the task

of connecting the pieces left behind in hopes that they made lead to Emma, or at least to an

answer. As we heard in the prior episodes several promising leads appeared and

kept those searching for Emma busy.

There was the Green Shirt Guy in Vancouver, the mysterious reappearance of Emma's prepaid

Credit Card, and of course the countless reports of possible

sightings. But amongst all that it was one lead in particular that presented a

uniquely uncomfortable situation. The lead came in the form of an unread

Facebook message that was sent to Emma's father in the months prior to her

disappearance. The message was from a young man named Julian who was a one-time

acquaintance of Emma. In the message Julian asked Emma's father for help getting in

touch with Emma and included an apology for stalking her. for

talking talking her. As you can imagine, when someone says they've been

stalking a now missing young woman,

people take notice.

But this appeared even more problematic than that. As you
