Hello and welcome to another episode of RunPod. I'm Jenny Faulkner and I would say,

0:09.6

look, I'm going to say that this episode has an important message of bravery, of courage,

0:15.1

of sheer determination, but also on top of all that, it shows how running can be hugely

0:20.6

beneficial to an individual

0:22.0

by ultimately offering a boost to your mental health. So today we're going to be hearing the

0:28.2

story of the fabulous M. Campbell, a writer and speaker who quite simply loves running and she claims

0:35.6

she could talk endlessly about the positive ways

0:38.2

that running has enhanced her life. Now, she turned to running after a time of adversity for

1:29.7

related to what she was saying about the kind of running in your 20s and 30s. For me, it was very

1:34.2

much a kind of, oh, you know, not liking what I saw in the mirror and the kind of almost felt like a

1:39.4

punishment. And so I dabbled with it over the years and I would go through phases of

1:43.8

throwing myself around the common and feeling quite miserable.

1:47.4

But I'd say, yeah, we're coming up to two years of it feeling very, very different.

1:51.7

And that coincided with last year's third cancer diagnosis and kind of the realization that running could just be this, it's become this incredible
