One of the biggest problems that young people have today and young could be just

anybody under 30 is your parents so overly coddled you right they so overly coddled you, that you haven't experienced failure, that you don't recognize

that failure and getting your ass kicked create some of the greatest gifts and lessons.

It gives you experience.

My mentor at Mike Vance would always say,

you can't learn from experiences you're not having.

You got to get into the ring and you got to fight.

You got to lose. I think about you know my son

Stephen who's a tennis player. I mean it's the it's the quintessential game if you want to

learn how to lose and grow from it. If you're a good tennis player, right? And he's not, you know, he's not a, you know, an Andre Agassi, he's not, you know, Jokovich, he's not Federer, but he's a great high school tennis player. If you're a great high school tennis player and you go out and you start playing in 20, 30, 40 tournaments in a year, if you're exceptional, you win 10 times. If you're great great you win like two or three times

Most people never win a single tournament

but they keep coming back to fight

You know what that teaches them?

Persistence, drive, determination.

If you don't know how to lose, if the slightest thing goes wrong and you go into poopy-pants

mode and you get all upset and you get all you know frustrated

and you want to van it out in the world you want to cry and scream and bitch and moan

look you need to start losing more you need to embrace the failure because that's

where all the lessons are I just go back to Mike fans

You simply cannot learn from the experiences you're not having right you've got to go out and fail

From the failure from getting your ass kicked you actually create a better story to go out and share with people

That's life failure is life failure is a gift and if you don't get that you're not going to succeed at the level you want
