On December 31st, when many Americans were getting ready to turn the calendar to 2019,

Elizabeth Warren, United States Senator from Massachusetts, was already looking ahead to 2020.

In a video emailed to supporters, the former Harvard professor warned of corruption and racial

inequality and also paused for a celebratory beverage.

Hold on a sec. I'm going to get me a beer.

But who exactly is Elizabeth Warren? With that, we hear from Fox News Radio's Jared Halper. Elizabeth Warren won her Massachusetts Senate seat in 2012,

defeating short-term incumbent Scott Brown on a message of economic fairness and a level playing field

for the middle class. To all the small business owners who are tired of the system rigged against them, we're going to hold

the big guys accountable.

Before elected office, Warren played advisory roles in government appointed in 2008 by then

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to an oversight panel to oversee the implementation of TARP, the government program that responded to the banking and financial crisis.

Two years later, President Obama selected Warren to advise the Treasury Secretary on setting up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, established as a

watchdog on lenders, banks, and credit unions.

Getting this agency off the ground will be an enormously important task, a task that can't

wait.
