Summary

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO

Step inside the Old Lavaca County Jail, where the past doesn’t just linger—it reacts. This long-abandoned fortress once held murderers, drifters, and outlaws, but time hasn’t emptied its cells the way history suggests it should have.

Heavy iron doors have been known to move on their own. Footsteps echo through the cellblock when no one is there. Investigators have reported strange sounds in the infirmary, keys rattling without a source, and shadowy movement that refuses to be explained.

Among the most chilling moments are the recordings—voices that seem to come from nowhere, including one that pleads to be released. Certain areas of the jail feel heavier than others, particularly the infamous stairwell and solitary confinement cell, where equipment fails and tension builds without warning.

Whatever remains inside the Old Lavaca County Jail doesn’t seem at rest. And for those who enter, it quickly becomes clear—some sentences may never have ended.

Welcome to part two of our conversation with Lisa Franks and Deborah Fawcett about the haunted old Lavaca County Jail.

0:06.8

I want to hear more about Lisa, you had mentioned earlier that the time loss, not experiments, but experiences that that you had gone through really kind of threw you for a loop.

0:17.4

Tell me about that.

0:19.9

But I mean, when you don't, you never experienced anything like that or in your wildest

0:26.2

dreams. Imagine that that can happen. I mean, hearing it on one recorder and saying,

0:32.0

oh, it was just residual energy is one thing. But going, knowing that you were sitting, we're sitting at this table for 20 minutes.

0:41.6

We never got up. We never left.

0:43.4

Nothing around us happened.

0:45.0

Yeah.

0:45.3

And to know that for two minutes and 12 seconds.

0:47.7

That was happening in your space.

0:49.3

Okay. Did, did, did something take us away?

0:53.0

Were we here?

0:54.0

Where were we? Why didn't we respond to that?

0:55.7

No, nothing took us away.

0:57.1

It was, it's, it's scary to think what happened during that time.

1:02.0

And it's scary to think, because Deborah and I both have been at the jail by ourselves.

1:07.5

Yeah, it was like how many times, but at night too.

1:10.3

So how often could that have happened that you weren't aware because nobody was around to watch

1:14.4

your behavior.

1:15.4

Nobody saw you standing in the same place for 20 minutes or, uh.

1:19.6

So that's just, it's a very scary.
