and it either gives you a happy ending or at least something that says, yeah, that happened.

Well, this weekend, it was a full circle

moment in tennis when serena williams actually introduced maria sheripova into the hall of fame

her tennis rival yep this is her biggest rival but also now her biggest supporter so serena

when she was introducing maria sheripova called her a forever friend, talked about how their battles pushed her to do better, and then the two of them hugged it out on stage.

So Maria Sharpava actually went out on the Today Show, listened to a clip of the introduction, and then commented on how everyone felt like they were these massive, massive rivals.

But behind the scenes, it was a little bit different.

Let's be real.

Maria and I were once the fiercest of rivals.

We had our differences to the world.

We looked miles and miles apart.

But the truth is, we weren't.

We wanted the exact same thing at the exact same time to be the very same time, to be the very best.

When the Tennis Hall of Fame asked us, who would you like to introduce you on stage, she was the first person I thought of.

And I said, I have to ask her. And I immediately got my phone. I sent her a text message and we spoke. We spoke for about an hour.
