Hello and welcome to Bible Stories. We are your host, Todd Heymans and Matt Mullins. It is Easter

0:25.9

Week Wednesday. We're getting closer to the big day. Each day this week we've been sharing

0:32.3

with you and we'll continue to share with you at least one item that Jesus did for you. One thing that happened on Easter

0:40.1

week so we can better appreciate Easter and really better understand what God has sacrificed for us.

0:47.7

So Todd, tell me about Wednesday. Yeah. So Wednesday, if you look at the scriptures that we know

0:53.6

that are recorded about the life of Jesus on Wednesday, there's not a lot. Like there's not a whole lot of storytelling. Like, you know, yesterday there's all these parables. There's a lot of Jesus just teaching a whole bunch in the temple. And I would encourage you to go back because it really is fascinating really obviously all the

1:52.0

Now, this one's way worse, and it leads to the crucifixion of Jesus on Friday,

1:58.7

but it all starts with people questioning, people saying bad

2:04.6

things, people slamming Jesus behind the closed doors, and then conspiring. What should we do?

2:10.4

So with that being said, we're going to jump into Matthew chapter 26, and here's just a couple

2:16.2

verses, three through five. it says at the same time

2:18.9

the leading priests and elders were meeting at the residence of caiaphas the high priests and they

2:25.7

began plotting how to capture Jesus secretly and kill him but not during the Passover celebration

2:31.9

they agreed or people may riot so we know that we're entering the Passover celebration, they agreed, or people may riot. So we know that we're entering
