Hello and welcome to Easter Week, Passion Week, Holy Week.

This week we share with you each day at least one thing that Jesus did for you that day.

And today, it is Tuesday.

Todd, there's some lessons to be learned on this Easter Tuesday.

There are.

In fact, okay, so Sunday, Palm Sunday, right?

Monday, we learned that Jesus, one thing that we didn't really talk about, but he cursed a fig tree, but he also cleansed the temple.

You know, this is the mindset that, you know,

people were coming in and they were really using the temple for what it was not intended for,

making money and doing all the things and creating easy ways for people to, quote, unquote,

do a sacrifice. And so Jesus really challenged people's hearts yesterday, Monday. But

Tuesday, we're going to learn that Jesus teaches and engages in controversies in the temple. And so we're

going to be in Matthew today, Matthew 21. And here's just a little bit of what it says. When Jesus

returned to the temple and began teaching, so by the way, that means

that Jesus came back to the temple the next day. I think that's pretty fascinating. The leading

priests and elders came up to him, and they demanded, by what authority are you doing all of these

things? Who gave you the right? Well, I'll tell you by what authority I do these things.

If you answer one question, Jesus replied, did John's authority to baptize come from heaven?

Or was it just merely human?

So they talked it over among themselves.

If we say it was from heaven, he will ask us, why didn't we believe John?
