When Jesus was crucified and executed on that hill near Jerusalem,

within the authority of the Roman Empire,

they had no idea that the man they just executed was also

fully God and willfully giving his life and every drop of blood in his body for the forgiveness

of his people with zero intention whatsoever of staying dead after he breathed his last.

When Jesus is raised from the dead, it is the vindication of his entire story of his kingship.

It is Jesus announcing to the world that the work of God to forgive sins is done.

And now the era of the kingdom of God expanding on planet earth through human beings like you and me

who are sinful can be made fully alive by the power of his spirit. It's on. Jesus wins is the

headline of the Easter story. Here's the thing. That's not just the headline of a past story in

history. That's the headline of today on April 5th, 2026.

I know you can get confused looking around at what's happening in the news,

looking around at what's happening across the world,

even in division and things happening in our own country,

and violence and craziness and statistics all over the place.

You just need to know this.

The Church of Jesus Christ is standing boldly to celebrate his resurrection 2,000 years

later by the billions across the world. He is alive. He is ruling and reigning. He is restoring

families. He is restoring marriages. He is raising new stories to life. He is healing the sick.

And his kingdom is going to come to full fruition when he returns for his

bride and between now and then our role and responsibility as the people of God is to make that
