Amen. Amen. If you are just joining us, trying to be intentional in these weeks leading up to

Resurrection Sunday, looking at these scenes from the last week of the life of Jesus. The Gospel of John

gives us amazing insight to not only events that we didn't know about from the first three Gospels,

but mindsets that we didn't see that were happening in the disciples and in the Son of God as Jesus approached Calvary.

In fact, half of the Gospel of John covers the last week of Jesus's life.

And much of that is about the night before Jesus died.

So the last two weeks, we've talked about Holy Communion. And we talked about when Jesus

washed his disciples' feet. And we're being invited to participate in these moments and apply

real truths from the scripture to our lives. Now we're going to back up a few days prior to that last supper, to that Passover meal,

where Jesus did those things that we've talked about so far.

And we're going to look directly at Palm Sunday.

But before we do, I want to give you a title for this sermon.

The title of this sermon is called,

When God's Plan Looks Nothing Like My Plan.

When God's plan looks nothing like my plan. When God's plan looks nothing like my plan.

Can anybody relate to this happening when you follow Jesus?

Can anybody, you don't have to respond.

Some of you are like, you have no idea how real this title is.

It could be the narrative of my last year. For some of you, it could be the narrative of a season that

you had as a family. It could be something that you're sitting in right here and right now.

And I believe it's also the banner over what was happening on Palm Sunday 2000,000 years ago. And I do want to emphasize

the language in this title. I'm not talking about when God's revealed plan is a little bit
