the MLB trade deadline is Tuesday but trades have already started on and we've got a lot to talk about that we got fabs tonight.

0:11.7

That's going to be some big stuff there as well.

0:13.7

All that and more with Rotowires Jane Levine joining me next on the Rotowire Fantasy Baseball podcast.

0:34.4

Hey, everybody. Welcome to the Roto Wire Fantasy Baseball podcast, Jeff Erickson here with Jan Levine and the author of the NL Fab Factor column.

0:43.7

He's been doing this for over a decade. He's been with us for 15, 17 years now.

0:48.7

Jan, how long has it been since you've been writing for Rotowire?

0:52.1

So to show how long have been my first column was a

NHL off-season winners and losers filed from a hotel room in st paul minnesota via dial-up line

1:03.6

in august 2020 august 2001 wow wow that's amazing that so it's 23 years. I've vastly underestimated it.

1:12.8

Yeah. So it's been a long time. I think baseball has been pretty close. And I guess they

1:17.1

handle all the Mets updates for a while. And then for about a decade, I think I handled all the cheat sheets.

1:21.5

Okay.

1:21.9

As well. Very cool. Very cool. So it's busy, busy, busy time. Let's just jump right into it here. We saw, we'll start with the deals that have happened so far. It's been nice that there's been some early deals there. Kind of spreads it out. You know, these got to see like the Rosarana deal. You know, you got to see them hanging in the stands on Friday night, get one last goodbye and all that. But A.J. Puck is the guy that started it off going from the Marlins to Arizona. I think a lot of people were picked up Puck speculating that he might trade after a Tanner Scott deal. I mean, might close after a Tanner Scott deal. Instead, Puck got traded himself. Yeah, I mean, I think a lot of us were surprised by that movie, as you said, everybody expects Tanner Scott to be the guy who's going to go. And I would assume by Wednesday at 6 o'clock Eastern, Scott will be on his way somewhere as a pretty heavy, heavy market, as we've seen, and we'll discuss in terms of relievers. But Puck was a guy who was in Oakland years ago, was a starting pitcher.

2:20.7

Pitch actually was a starter also from Miami for a bit, transition to the pen,

2:24.7

has clearly found his space by pitching in the pen.

2:28.3

And everybody had him as the next guy in line if Scott ended up being moved.

2:31.4

But surprised to all of us, he ended up going in a deal for Davian de los Santos and Andrew Pinter.

2:37.9

Guy, Delos Santos is probably the more interesting one of the two as of right now.

2:41.6

A lot of us have believed that Josh Bell could be the next guy going out of town from Miami.

2:45.8

If that happens, De Los Santos, who was in the futures game this year and has shown good numbers in in AA. Could be the first basement of the future, at least initially, for Miami. But Puck gives Arizona a nice little one-two punch with Paul Seawald can step in as the closer when C-Wall's not ready and probably is going to be the primary setup guy for him. So in terms of value, value probably hasn't changed much as I'm now from where he was in

3:08.0

Miami, but in terms of future value, those of you who speculated on grabbing him as a hedge

3:13.5

when Scott goes out of town are probably fairly disappointed that he ended up going to Arizona where
