Oh, no. I was just like thinking while I was getting ready to talk to you.

Is there any going back to the way things were?

Like, are we all irreparably damaged from the last decade?

Like, yeah. So is that the point at which we're calling things normal 10 years ago?

Because I don't know. I mean, your book is interesting because you, you, well, let's talk

about what your newest book is. Tell us about your new book.

Okay. So this book is an attempt for me to answer a

question that arises with disturbing regularity. Why is it that in the aftermath of an obvious

or confirmed act of left-wing political violence, do we all start talking about the

preternaturally violent right and the threat posed by right wing violence, that reflex

is really annoying. And it's increasingly flies in the face of the evidence of your own eyes.

Yes. We have attack after attack, assaults on right wing figures, attempted assassinations,

not once, not twice, but thrice of the president to say nothing of the successful assassinations

of right wing in figures and attacks on them, ice facilities, including small cell terrorism,

deploying sophisticated ambush tactics on and on and on. That reflex has become a defense

mechanism in my view. Yeah, I've written about this actually coming from the left.

And I wrote about it after Charlie Kirk was assassinated for Spectator.

I'm much more simplistic than you.
