Hello and welcome to another edition of the Byron York show. If you've listened

at all, you know this is the no chit chat podcast and

today it's the no chit chat impeachment preview podcast the Democratic

impeachment inquiry hearings start on Capitol Hill on Thursday morning.

And I want to talk about a number of things that are going to happen in the future in these impeachment

inquiry hearings. First of all, we'll discuss this a little bit later in detail, first of all the Chairman

Adam Schiff has sent a warning in no uncertain terms to Republicans that they cannot talk

about the things they want to talk about.

They certainly cannot talk about the whistleblower.

And if they mention anything about the whistleblower, if they in any way say anything that

might tend to identify the whistleblower they will face a quick and swift ethics

investigation so So the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee

is already trying to make sure that Republicans

stay within the bounds that the majority, that is the Democrats, have set.

But we're going to hear from first, we're going to hear from William Taylor, who is not an ambassador but actually the highest

ranking diplomatic staffer the United States in Ukraine and then later we'll hear from George Kent another State Department

official and then Friday it will be Marie Yovanovich who was the recalled

ambassador to Ukraine she was recalled earlier this year by President Trump.

But the star of the hearing, the star of this whole thing, will likely be Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Venman.

He has not yet been scheduled to testify,

but his testimony just caused his secret, shall we say, his secret deposition caused an uproar on Capitol Hill and in media coverage, a lot of coverage of him.

He's a lieutenant colonel in the Army who is serving on the White House
