Hello and welcome to another edition of the Byron York show as you know this is the no

chit chat podcast.

So we're not going to do any chit chat.

Obviously, so much to talk about, about the impeachment thing,

but I want to try to dig down into a couple of things that have

really been very very big deals in the news recently. The first one I want to

talk about is this press conference that Mick Mulvaney, the acting

White House Chief of Staff, had a few days ago.

And then the other thing I want to talk about is what is actually happening inside these interviews that House

Democrats are conducting, these impeachment inquiry interviews, that they're conducting in secret and you're not able to know what is said

Except for a few leaks that seem to all go in one direction well I got some more information about what went on in one of those, so we'll talk about that.

But I think we want to start with Mick Mulvaney, and there has been a lot of confusion about what exactly were the

president's concerns before he withheld and thenS. military aid to Ukraine.

And McMovani, last Thursday, tried to clear that up,

but not only did he not clear it up he actually made it worse

So I think what you have to do is look at what Mulvaney said and then look at what the president has said including that rough

transcript of the July 25th call that the president had with President

Zelensky of Ukraine look at that look what you know at know from other sources, and try to figure out what really

was going on here.

And what I think is going on is in various statements, the President and his top aides like Mulvaney have listed five

reasons for his concern about US Aid to Ukraine.
