So obviously in your book, your book with Carrie Severino,

you were extremely well sourced on the whole Kavanaugh fight, but mostly on the

Kavanaugh side with the candidate, with the nominee, with the people in the Senate with the activist groups with just

everybody who was involved in it's the White House and you knew the whole time

you guys were writing that there were these two New York Times reporters who were working on their own book, right?

Yes.

And did you ever have a sense of trotting the same ground?

You guys obviously won by months, you know, you won the publication contest.

But did you ever have a sense that somebody else was kind of

treading on this ground? There are three books that are being written or have been written by

anti-Cavanagh journalists, by which I mean they were participants in the

anti-Cavanagh battle when it was going on, albeit from their perspective as

either opinion, journalists or otherwise otherwise and this is just one

straight news they would say well what we used to call straight news they this is one of them

the one that just came out is by these two New York Times reporters.
