Our guest today is Michael Caputo, formerly of the Trump

campaign and a man who had a number of brushes with this long sprawling Trump Russia investigation.

So Michael, I want to thank you for joining us on the Byron York show.

Hey, it's my pleasure, Byron.

Thanks a lot for inviting me.

Thank you so much. So just so people know you have known

Donald Trump for quite a while in his role as New York businessman.

And you were involved in the actual presidential campaign

starting in November 2015, which is way early,

you are the director for New York State and then you're actually in the

campaign headquarters and the main campaign from April to June of 2016. You're a senior advisor for communications is all that correct?

Yeah that's basically it the Combs guy you know I first met the president in 1988 at the

Republican Convention in New Orleans and did some work

with them in the years leading up to the presidential campaign.

But I stayed in the communications arena most of the time I was with them on the presidential

uh... uh... postings okay and the reason uh... we're talking today is because

of the trump Russia investigation of the Trump-Russia investigation.

The Mueller report is out, there's a lot of fighting going on between
