Hello and welcome to another edition of the Byron York show.

I'm Byron York and on this podcast we often talk about how we don't like to start out

with a lot of chit-chat.

We just kind of get right into it and today's guest is certainly somebody we want to get started with.

It is Carter Page who is I guess plays a starring role in the new Robert Mueller report and has had a lot to say, has been actually one of the

more outspoken people involved in the whole Trump-Russia affair.

And he is now joining us, unfortunately by phone because we can't often get in the same room

with some of the most interesting people, but Carter, thank you for joining us.

No, it's my pleasure Byron. Thanks for all of your great reporting on these topics and

unfortunately I don't get out of my cubby hole too much just because of all the domestic terror threats that I've faced due to these fake reports, which again, I think kind of leads into what you were just discussing as to

the latest big Encyclopedia Britannica which was released on Thursday.

And we're going to get into all this and I kind of want to go maybe chronologically

over some of the stuff that is covered in the report.

But there are a couple of things I just actually wanted to start out with just because I was

curious.

As far as we know, you were the only person who was wiretapped by the FBI in all of this.

And since probably most of our listeners, for example me I don't think I've ever

been wiretaps as far as I know do you know it when it happens were you aware of it there something you, some way you could tell or just

something you found out after the fact?

Now look, Byron, this is all just a big media campaign, right?
