Summary

Jesus calls four men to leave everything behind to be His disciples in Mark 1:16-20. As we watch them walk away from their fishing nets, we learn what it costs to follow Jesus, what we will get out of it, and how to avoid falling away when we encounter tough times.

Wednesday night, we're going to start the Gospel of Mark.

On Wednesday, we'll get into the introduction to the Gospel of Mark and into the first chapter.

We just finished Matthew as we go right through the Bible.

So we're going to take our text from Mark chapter 1 this morning.

There was a hen and a pig who were walking down the road and they saw there by the farm.

There was a little church and on the church that said, help feed the homeless, help feed the poor.

Well, the chicken came up with the idea and said to the pig, hey, we should be kind and try to help the problem.

You provide the bacon. And the pig said, thought for a second, it said, for you it requires only a contribution,

but for me it requires total commitment. And it's interesting because that's really what the Lord

But no, we, you know, we hear for the Lord that we're supposed to present our bodies a living sacrifice,
