I love going through the Bible, starting new books, kind of exciting.

And Mark is exciting.

It's one of my four favorite Gospels.

But Mark is different.

Very unique in all the Gospels.

It's very short.

It's one of the shortest as far as just verses

and chapters. But don't mistake it as, you know, small and inferior. It's actually small but mighty.

And it's important. It's hard hitting, fast-paced. We'll even see that perhaps tonight.

And there's a word that we're going to see later on in our study

that we're going to see all throughout the Gospel of Mark

that's kind of unique to the four gospels,

but you see it all the time.

And it has kind of the sense of the book itself,

the way it's written, very fast-paced, very hard-hitting.

I remember a pastor who was talking to his congregation about, you know, lying,

and he said, you know, he did a whole sermon on lying

and how important it is to be honest

and how easy it is to just kind of lie about stuff they

don't even really need to lie about you know and he went on and on but he then at the end of his
