So we covered the GM change on the Friday show with a Stephen Ross statement, and I wanted to

spend a little bit more time in that lane here today on this Tuesday show, first by talking

about Champ Kelly. Champ arrived here

earlier this year as a senior personnel executive. He was an assistant with the Raiders

starting in 2022 and took on the interim job for the GM that was fired there, Tom Telesco,

in 2024. He got his start with a Lexington horseman back in 2007 as a wide receivers coach,

then made the jump to general manager. How about that? That's the arena league for you. That's how

that works. The entire league is basically, you sell the hot dogs at halftime, and then you go make a

trade in the fourth quarter. Then he cracks into the league as a scout with the Broncos and quickly

advances to the director of pro scouting by 2015 in Chicago. Then he becomes the assistant director

of player personnel with them for five years before making that jump to Vegas as the assistant

GM. So he's worked a lot of jobs, been around different programs and has some experience

here now on the job
