Hey everybody, it's Chris and today I'm interviewing Dr. Nathan Gershfeld.

After having a life-changing health experience, Dr. Gershfeld changed careers from electrical

engineer to chiropractor following an internship under Dr. Alan Goldhammer.

He joined the staff doctors at the world renowned

True North Health Center from 2011 to 2014.

And after that, he moved his practice to Orange County

and is now the founder and director of Fasting Escape,

which is an inpatient fasting center and health program

in Orange County, California. He currently serves on the board

of the True North Health Foundation, and he's the producer and creator of the Beat Your

Genes, G-E-N-E-S podcast. So it's good to connect with you, Nathan, and I'm excited to hear your story, how you became,

I mean, how you decided to switch from engineering to chiropractic, right?

And then how you connected with Dr. Goldhammer and got into fasting and all that.

for having me on. Yeah, this journey, so I just told you right before we started recording,

I just finished reading your book, the Krisbeat Cancer book. And it was kind of surprisingly similar

with kind of the journey I went through. And so kind of I can just tell the whole story from the beginning.

So it kind of starts with actually my grandmother who came from the Soviet Union and always had problems with her health.
