Well, how did you get the idea to become a neurosurgeon?

Well, ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a physician. I used to follow my grandfather around. I don't know if you remember

the black bag, but I used to carry his black bag on house calls. Wow. And I knew that I wanted to go

into medicine.

So when I got the chance in college and got an opportunity to go to medical school,

I jumped at it and followed my dreams all the way to the University of Pittsburgh for training
