Johannes Mallow. He is a two-time world memory champion. In fact, in 2012 he set a world record by

remembering 500 and four digits in five minutes. He can memorize an entire deck of poker cards in

just 20 seconds. Now before he started professional memory sports, he worked as a researcher and an

engineer at the University of Magdeburg. He finished his PhD thesis on the topic of magnetic

residence imaging and published a study on the topic of memory improvement in 2015. Johannes is

living with muscular dystrophy which has had a deep impact on his physical but also on his mental

health when the disease broke through at the age of 14. It was his discovery of memory sports that
