Summary

Barely a day goes by without Donald Trump making headlines and this week he has been engulfed in the controversy surrounding his response to the violence at a right-wing rally in Charlottesville, Virgina at the weekend which left one person dead. He was widely criticised for his initial response which failed to denounce the far right, instead blaming all sides. To make some sense of it all, Sky's Head of Data Harry Carr is joined by Republican commentator Stacy Hilliard-Cork and Julia Ebner, a research fellow at global counter-extremism organisation ISD.

little to unite a country that looks increasingly riven.

Before we go any further, let's listen back to Donald Trump's latest statement on the violence. Everybody said his statement was beautiful. If he would have made it sooner, that would

have been good. I couldn't have made it sooner because I didn't know all of the facts.

on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that, but I'll say

it right now. Define alt-right to me. You define it. Go ahead.

Well, I'm saying, let's go.

What about the alt left that came charging at the, as you say, the alt-right? Do they

have any semblance of guilt?
