Hey friend, grab your scriptures and let's dive into Genesis 25, verse 31 and 34.

0:16.0

So a few years ago, my son told me about this new Lego set that he wanted more than anything in the

0:21.4

world. And I reminded him how he'd said the last Lego set he bought would be the one that would

0:26.7

finally make him happy forever. Now, he's a cool kid, and he laughed. He's like, you know what,

0:32.1

1:09.1

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and potage of lentils, and he did eat and

1:12.9

drink and rose up and went his way. Thus, Esau despised his birthright. It's possible that Issa

1:19.4

was so comfortable in the blessing of his birthright that he had forgotten what a great gift it was.

1:25.1

Are we guilty of doing the same? Are there blessings we have that we

1:29.0

once prayed long and hard for, but we now take them for granted? Maybe today we could spend

1:34.7

some time expressing gratitude for long hoped for blessings that we now take for granted. So the takeaway

1:41.1

of the day in five words or less is, don't take blessings for granted.
