| 0:00.0 | Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast. |
| 0:05.0 | We are your host, Kristen Walker-Smith and Callie Black. |
| 0:09.3 | Hey, it's Callie Black here with Today's Thought. |
| 0:11.3 | Let's open up to Genesis chapter 28, verse 16. |
| 0:16.2 | I don't know about you, but I have heard plenty of times that feeling the spirit in a clean home is easier |
| 0:22.6 | than in a messy home. One day, this thought was running through my mind as I sat, exhausted, |
| 0:29.1 | and looked at the giant mess in my house. My baby was not letting me put him down, and my toddler |
| 0:35.2 | just kept pulling out more and more toys, unaware of the tears |
| 0:38.9 | that filled my eyes. I just wanted a clean home where I could feel peace. Heavenly Father, |
| 0:46.4 | I pleaded. There is no way I can get this house clean right now. Almost immediately, I was filled with this calming peace. I felt a strong |
| 0:58.7 | spiritual presence, and I felt like everything was going to be okay. The spirit does not wait until our |
| 1:06.6 | house or our room is clean to speak to us. When we see Jacob wandering in the wilderness and making |
| 1:14.5 | a pillow out of stones, this is where the Lord visits him and blesses him with great power. |
| 1:23.0 | And Jacob's response, as we read in Genesis chapter 28, verse 16, surely the Lord is in this place, |
| 1:30.5 | and I knew it not. The Lord is wherever his righteous people are, whether they sleep on stones |
| 1:39.0 | or their house is covered in toys and crumbs. So the takeaway of the day, in five words or less, the Lord can be anywhere. |
| 1:51.0 | Thank you so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me, one minute at a time. |
| 1:58.0 | Feeling a little nervous about how to make the Old Testament work and actually understand what's going on each week? |
| 2:04.1 | I've gotcha. |
| 2:05.1 | In my big picture little picture study guides, every single week, I break it down for you in the simplest way possible. |
| 2:10.8 | I give you the story. |
| 2:12.1 | I give you the background details that weave everything together. |
