It always makes me so happy that we have this time together each week.

Maybe you're still in a hangover phase from the election, not just from lack of sleep that night. I don't know. Did you step and watch the results? I was out of town for work. And so Dan and I were watching separately. And I did the grown-up thing and went to bed because I had meetings early the next morning.

But I woke up to my phone buzzing in the middle of the night because Dan wanted me to know about what was going on with the election. And we talked for a little while. And when I went

into work the next day, most people had stayed up all night to watch. And, you know, part of this, separate from any politics, is just fascinating to me because

I love our country.

I am so proud to live in the United States where we have freedom of expression, we have

democracy, we have a peaceful transition of power from one political party to another. We've seen it

time and again in our history, and I'm hoping this time won't be any different, at least from

an official standpoint. For sure, there are protesters and there are reports of violence and all of

that. It's just heavy on my heart this week. I don't know. I mean, I've mentioned to you before

here on the podcast that I really, I was not pleased with the choices we had for candidates this

election and choosing which of the evil choices. It's not fun. It's not fun that we
