Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep your fitness promise, which adds another link to your growing fitness chain.

I don't know how your autumn is going. Autumn is a season that I love, but it's also a season that tends to be really busy.

It's one of the busier seasons at the radio station, and personally, it also seems to just get busy,

and it's been that way for as long as I can remember.

And so margin is hugely important for me to manage the stress,

keep the anxiety at bay. And what I mean by margin is what I would call white space in my

schedule, white space in my calendar. I don't do really well if I have a day that's filled with

stuff from the time I get up until the time I go to bed and day after day of that and week after

week of that, I don't do well with that at all. And so I learned that I need to be intentional about having margin,

white space, empty space in my calendar. And I've also found that walking provides margin.

Even all those days which are busy, and I have them from time to time where there's

nothing I can do about creating margin,

but I find that even walking on super busy days provides that margin.

I guess the euphemism would be, I'm going to get up and stretch my legs.

And for me, it's, I'm going to get up and enjoy some margin.

Speaking of busy, we've got the holiday season that is getting closer and closer. And for many of

us, the holiday season, this busy schedule, the busyness, the to-do list ramps up even more.
