I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Had some time to decompress a little bit from the

2026 NFL draft, but the grind never stopped. So I was actually studying way too early for the 2027 class today, and that'll be going on for the rest of the summer. But I'm doing good, doing good. It's been a good, a good week, a lot of exciting developments with the draft and happy to break down the Dolphins class today.

Yeah.

And, you know, we had John a few times prior to the draft.

They have a choice between Caleb Downs and Ruben Bain. They trade down, pick up two fifth round picks, and they select not Rububen bain at that point but kaden proctor your

1:45.3

thoughts on the trade and your thoughts on proctor well i think the trade could they have maybe gotten a little

1:50.7

bit more perhaps and i personally i would have picked caleb downs for sure i think getting a glue guy like

1:55.4

that in that secondary having having so many needs probably would have been the better value option for me

2:00.2

i am going to say too like kaden broctor was more of a fringe first round guy for me so just take him in the first half of round one the value wasn't quite there that said i'm not surprised by the pick and i understand why they made it and i can see it being successful because they're projecting him inside to guard as opposed to tackle i think that was probably where he was going to fit best at the NFL level. My comp for him has been Leonard Davis, who was drafted originally as a tackle in the 2000s, but shifted inside to guard later in his career and was a multi-year pro bowler at that spot too. I think Caden Proctor had trouble with finesse and speed and apex rushers at tackle, but inside inside at guard his physical tools will truly be able

2:35.5

to dominate in a phone booth he's got the power he's got the strength he's got the short area

2:38.7

explosion physicality and i do think he's pretty nuanced and as a pass protector with good knee

2:43.2

bend for his size too so i love the fit in a phone booth and i think it fits with you know what

2:48.5

uh this this uh john eric solvin right coming from the packers

2:51.8

their philosophical shift where they signed aaron banks a couple of cycles ago they drafted

2:56.1

anthony belton round two uh a collegiate tackle who had that elite size and power to shift inside

3:01.2

to guard they love resetting the contact point you definitely get that with kaden proctor so

3:05.4

would i've gone a different route yes i probably would stay put and take kaleb Caleb Downs, but I can see the vision. And I do think that he can be successful because they know how they're going to use him. It's funny. Everyone I've had on who sort of covers the draft has given almost word for word the same as the act to answer as you. Almost. Everyone's like, I wouldn't have done it, but I get it. I want to have done it, but I get it. Type an answer. And again, with Proctor, John Eric Solvin, you know, he's very upfront and honest the day he was hired, we have to get more physical and I'm going to build this from the inside out. So yeah, I would probably done something else like you. Probably went with Caleb Downs or maybe Ruben Bain in the end. But I get it because they have to get more physical.

And Jeff Halfley did an interview yesterday.

3:45.5

Well, it came out yesterday with Richard Sherman where he signed a –

3:48.9

yeah, he's playing left guard year one.
