And the end of the story is that the federal workforce will be reduced, perhaps. However, I learned from

Veronique de Reggie of the Mercado Center for some time now that is the difficulty

for America into the future, the debt and the burden and the likely cutbacks for Medicare,

Medicaid, Social Security, cannot be solved from the White House, cannot be solved even from

the magic of Doge and Elon Musk and Starship. The place to solve it is

Congress. Verneek, a very good evening to you. Inflation. That is the legacy of the Biden administration.

It's with us. It hasn't left us. It's likely to get worse before it gets better. It can

require us to take a recession if we don't solve it.

How is it that Congress can solve inflation?

What do they need to do and will they do it?

But evening, John, yes, of course they can do it.

They can do it by being fiscally responsible,

not adding trillions and trillions of dollars to the debt by signaling to investors that in America we pay down our debt.

And if they were actually just even signaling this would be very important.

And I think that if they were getting down with the program and saying, you know what, we realize that

a lot of what Doge is doing is responding to something that the American people want,

but Doge may not actually have the legal

authority to do it and only us can do it and we're going to get on with the program, that would be

really good.

Trump didn't cause the inflation, but it's his job to take care of it or to answer it or to

...
