This is Kyle Worley, and I'm joined by my very much alive co-host,

Jin Wilkin and J.T. English, and we were having a very not for recording conversation before we press record.

It was all of our hot takes on some of the absolute weirdness that has emerged in the world

around us. And you know, I'm just really glad that we weren't recording. You know,

sometimes you just got to talk as friends and just friend, friend conversation, not everything has to be broadcast to the world. And we had a really meaningful discussion. I don't know that I feel more enriched by it. I'll be honest with you. I feel sick to my stomach. I do feel sick to my stomach. But I am more informed. No, nausea has overtaken.

You know, there is a burden that comes with information and I am more burden than I am

burdening.

Yeah, you're burdened.

Hey, have you, have either of you guys, this is, I'm going to guess in my head that one

of you has seen this and the other one hasn't because of age, stage, but also temperament, culture, and nerdiness. Have either of you seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You've both seen it? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I knew that Jen had because total nerd. Because she old. Yeah. And nerd. Yeah, she old. My dad loved it growing up. I bet you I've seen it 30 times. Really? Oh yeah. It was one of those movies. It was like always kind of on or around, you know, just on. As I was preparing the run sheet for this episode, I kept hearing, it's very early in the movie. They have the car to the dead and the guy's going, bring out your dead. Bring out your dead. Then they put somebody on the thing and he goes,

I'm not dead yet. And then he hits him over that. And I just kept thinking, bring out your dead

the whole time that I was building this run sheet because on today's episode, tricky topics

and thorny questions, we are looking at, does the manner of our burial matter? Now, I want to say

a couple of notes about this. The goal of all of these is not for you to download what we think,

but for you to learn how to think theologically about everything. That's why we're doing these episodes. Like, if you leave this episode and you're like, I disagree with Jen, J.T, or Kyle, go read the Bible and tell us why. Like, honestly, great. This is not one of those things that we feel like every Christian has to have the same position on. It's a tricky topic. It's a thorny question. It's not abundantly clear.

We want to look at some scriptural principles and have a little bit of fun. And we are going to have

some fun talking about this topic. But I do want to acknowledge if this has been a season of your life

where death is where death is something that feels very near and dear to you, we don't want to

minimize that. We don't want to minimize that.

We don't want to trivialize that. I've just gone through this in my own family.
