Hi, my name is John Kim and I'm a therapist who went through his own

rebirth. I share my feelings and revelations. I believe in casual or

clinical and with you instead of at you. I come unrehearsed on

purpose because self-help doesn't have to be so complicated. I think the reason why

I get this question all the time isn't because people think I have personal

experience it's because they want to know from a therapist's perspective someone who

coaches people with their relationships can an open relationship

work and I totally get that. But I'm also a blogger and I've been documenting my story for the last decade so I do want to answer this but I want to answer it

also just by sharing my personal story as well so wearing two two hats, one as a therapist, but also as John

Kim. That being said, I have never been in an open relationship, so that part of my answer is not

going to come from experience, it's going to come from my opinion

just based on my own personal experience, if that makes sense.

And so I want to announce and front load that I have never been in an open relationship because I think a lot of people who have

my medium blog when I wrote about this and a lot of them were great comments and

they thought it was spot on people who actually were in open relationships and I also got a lot of comments who were like you have no right to talk about this if you have not had any experience.

And I get that point of view too.
