| 0:59.0 | It was incredible, such an electrifying experience. One of the shows that I got to go to was for JMP The Label. JMP is a swimmer brand. |
| 1:10.0 | I didn't know anything about them. My friends Gwen and Dara represent the brand. They do their PR, so they invited me to tag along to this fashion show, and I had no expectations going in. |
| 1:21.0 | But when I got there, I cannot even begin to tell you how incredible the show was. The swimsuits were beautiful, but what really struck me was the fact that this was the only show that I noticed during Swim Week |
| 1:36.0 | that had models of all shapes, sizes, colors, energies, backgrounds. It was just phenomenal. So you guys kind of know what inspired this episode, but I am just thrilled to have Jamie and Juliet with me to talk about JMP The Label, their swimwear line. |
| 2:55.0 | To talk about everything that transpired a couple of weeks ago in Miami at the fashion show that I was at that I was so personally inspired by, you know, so many of you reached out to me and were so excited about it. So I thought it would be really cool to have them both on and kind of just chill out and chat and have a little episode about sort of what inspires them. |
| 3:14.0 | I think I personally think you guys are like changing the game for like the swimwear industry and just like fashion in general. So we're going to dig into all of that. But before we get started, I would love you both to just kind of give a little introduction, a personal introduction about who you are and sort of what you do in the world. So Jamie, do you want to go first? |
| 3:32.0 | Yeah. Hi. Okay. Well, I'm Jamie Washburn and I am a we like to call me a veteran swim designer, which I think makes me sound like super old, but actually I am I'm 46. So I'm not old. I'm amazing. A perfect peak age, I believe, but I've been in this one more game for like 27 years now. |
| 3:56.0 | And I've worked for a lot of the biggest brands out there as the behind the scenes designer. And so through the years, I really became passionate about size inclusivity. I'm a size 12 to 14, depending on, you know, the day of the week, my hormones, whatever's going on in my life. |
| 4:16.0 | And I really wasn't able to wear any of the designs I was doing for all of these brands comfortably and where I felt really good about myself. And so I became very passionate about that. |
| 4:28.0 | And then I also am a co-owner in a factory that produces a lot of brands that everybody knows and wears. And so I've, you know, I'm really in the nuts and the bolts of the swimmer market. And I felt like it was really time to make a line that I could feel proud of that would represent who I was. |
| 4:49.0 | And I was very lucky to meet Juliet Porter. And I think she should introduce herself. |
