Today we're talking about whether or not I want Tesla to go private at this point in time.

Before we get started, I just want to point out that you may have two episodes in your feed.

I recorded last night and then also this morning.

So the episodes are only about 12 hours

apart versus the normal 24 hours apart. I just want to make sure that nobody

misses that previous one. I talked about the SEC subpoena of Tesla and I think that

it was worthwhile to listen to. Getting into today then, Tesla stock in the

pre-market is up a little bit over 1% to around $342, potentially being

influenced by Evercore analyst George Galliers who visited the Tesla

factory coming out with a positive note saying

quote, Tesla seems well on the way to achieving a steady weekly production rate of 5,000 to 6,000

units per week, end quote.

So nice to get a little bit back to Tesla's actual business before we now continue

on to privatization.

Two days ago I posted a poll on Twitter simply asking, do you want Tesla to go private?

There are currently over 1,200 responses with 70% indicating yes and 30% indicating no.

I shared some of my thoughts on this in my conversation with Galileo, but since it's been

over a week now since that conversation happened, and we've got a little bit more clarity on the situation.

I thought it would be worth revisiting some of those thoughts.
