Today's 10-minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent.

So let's go for a walk.

That's one of the things that Ava and I say to each other every day, sometimes two, three times a day.

We love walking together.

Sometimes the walks are simply around the perimeter of our neighborhood.

Other times we leave the neighborhood and walk further.

Typically, I think our walks are probably two miles.

Sometimes they might even go longer than that. But we've hit this challenging situation.

We're wearing flip flops more. Comfortable flip flops. We love our flip flops. They're easy on,

easy off. And occasionally, we will even take our walk wearing the flip-flops.

Those are usually not the long walks.

Tend to be the shorter walks around the perimeter of our neighborhood.

Occasionally, we'll leave the neighborhood, maybe go a little bit longer, but it's not

And I've noticed that if we're mismatched, particularly if she's wearing the flip-flops and I'm wearing shoes, that's usually not a good combination.

Because my walking pace naturally is faster than my wife's.

I'm taller than she is. My legs are longer. My stride is longer, so my pace is faster.

And if she's wearing flip flops, she's walking even more slowly than normal.

I find that it's actually harder for me to walk more slowly than it is to walk more quickly.

And so I'm trying to be more intentional and match her footwear.
