You know, these amazing cases when they get DNA hits from the COD's database, that's the

combined DNA index system, which is a national database that is looked after by the FBI.

It's overseen by the FBI.

And just recently, this case here that I'm going to show you the thumbnail on the screen,

a trucker, DNA nails trucker, serial killer, Warren Luther Alexander,

for triple three murders in California that occurred 37 years ago.

You know, when we talk about the long arm of the law or that there is no statute of

limitations for murder, we mean just that. And this is the picture of the individual who was

arrested. Warren Luther Alexander, and of course that's his picture from 37 years ago when he committed these murders.

A suspected serial killer already in custody in North Carolina for a cold case murder

has been charged in the slayings of three women who were strangled to death in 1977 in California.

Kimberly, I'll put the thumbnail up on the screen. Kimberly, Carol Fritz, she was 18, was killed in May, 1977.

Velvet Anne Sanchez, 31, was strangled to death in September, 1977.

And Lorraine Ann Rodriguez, 21, was killed three months later in December,

according to authorities in Ventura County, California.

The victims were all sex workers who frequented local hotels. Police immediately

believed the strangulations were linked, but the cases went cold, according to Ventura County

District Attorney Eric Nazarenko. He said it on a press conference.

In 2006, detectives uploaded DNA evidence collected from the scenes in Tacotis.

That's the national database, combined DNA index system, but didn't find a match.
