It's a little bit of actual hockey news today.

I wouldn't consider it anything seismic to say the least.

Nick Robertson, he is the brother of Jason Robertson,

and the Penguins have reached a settlement to avoid arbitration.

And they got to a two-year contract that averages 3.25 million.

It's something of a raise from where he was with the Maple Leafs last year when he was at 1.825.

He is worth that amount if he produces consistently what he did with Toronto.

And he's been consistent in that regard.

He's not really a slump street guy.

He comes up with the same numbers year after year after year.

The other thing that ends up happening in this scenario is that, you know,

Robertson is now here. He's now somebody else. So you've got to get real live and it shall

work. And there are way too many forwards here. Way too many. Is Robertson worth 3.25 million to come up with 16 goals, 16 assists over 78 games.

But also he's like a, he's one of those super fast firecracker types who's going to chase you all over the rank that kind of water bug for lack of a better term and that's great but you still got to come up with places for all of these people to play and you've got to come up with places for deserving young players who might beat them out

to play. And that's where I am right now when I look at Robertson and then another free agent

signing. Well, Robertson was a trade and free agent signing, Andre Covalenko, where I say,

okay, well, here's two guys. One of them's getting $3.25 million. The other one's getting $5 million.

And they're going to play. If they're surrounding, flanking Ben Kendall on the third line if they're if they're surrounding flanking ben kindle on the third line

they're going to play elmer siderblum whether it's somewhere third line fourth line whatever it
