Baseball Club will have a first pitch thrown by Mitch Keller at 412 p.m. I'll be over there covering it

for D.K. Pittsburgh Sports. I'll be looking forward to a lot more than just the game. In fact,

I'm not sure the game cracks the top five things. That'd be most compelling about this event.

Connor Griffin was, of course, promoted from AAA yesterday. He'll have a session with reporters.

Today around noon remains to be seen if that session will lend any additional credence

to a report from ESPN's Buster Olney that the pirates and Griffin are working on an extension that would pay the young man

140 million over nine years.

You heard me right.

140 million over nine years.

And he's yet to take a swing in the bigs.

And while that would obviously be a welcome development for the future of the

franchise, just having him around, just having him here after one week with Indianapolis and here

to make his debut at PNC Park and take his first at bat and maybe have his first hit. Yeah, this is going to be something

on that front alone. I have some thoughts on the Griffin thing. I want to run through the home
