Pirates five, Astros won last night in Houston.

A nice way to bounce back from the unspeakable thing the previous night.

It also allows the team to leave Texas with the series on their way

to Atlanta to face the very best team in all of Major League Baseball, the 42 and 21 Braves.

Imagine had this one not gone well, just to put that into further perspective.

But it did go well, and it went well for a few reasons.

The principal one being that Jared Jones pitched five scoreless innings for his first win

in nearly two years for obvious reasons.

Four hits, a couple of walks, four strikeouts, just got the job done.

Threw hard, mixed it up, filled the zone, 74 pitches, 44 strikes.

Understandably felt pretty good about himself afterward.

It's pretty cool. Pretty special to me too.

Yeah, just a really cool feeling.
