Well, hello, everyone. Matt Williamson here. How is it going? Things are good here.

A lot going on. Anyway, I am excited to announce, and I'm sure you've already heard, that Darnell, Washington has agreed to a four-year

$42 million contract extension. Half of that, $21 million is guaranteed, average annual value of $10.5 million,

as you could have probably figured out. I love this move. He is one of my absolute favorite Steelers and one of the

absolute most unique players in the league. And NFL players hate playing against unique players.

You know, like Patrick Ricard, I always bring up with the Ravens. I know he's a giant now,

but there's nobody like him. He's a 300 plus pound fullback. Nobody practices against those guys.

Nobody has experience against those guys. Washington is similar, except he's six, seven,

and can get downfield and make plays in the passing game and hurdle people

and do things of that nature. So, I mean, pull back curtain. My son was, he texted me his

freshman year at Kentucky. And he's like, Dad, I'm buying a Steeler jersey. I need to represent the

Steelers as I walk around campus. Which one should I get? And I'm like, there's easy ones like

Watt and Hayward and blah, blah, blah. But I'm like, you're going to make a statement, go

get to Arnaw, Washington. I mean, that is a bad ass jersey. And I love that they have locked this guy up for so

many reasons.

So if you recall, his draft class was a loaded tight end class.

And I think he was a six tight end drafted.

And the league amazingly was much different then.

We'll get into this too. But with the massive influx of two and especially three tight ends on the field at once,

Washington may have been a top 50 pick, even in a loaded tight end class.

Because that class was much more loaded than this one we just saw.

And tight end flew off the board in day two.
