There's probably not a professional sport in North America that overuses the term star, quite like hockey.

Everybody's a star.

In fact, everybody who's a star is a superstar. Well, Dylan Larkin, for me,

The news that shook the hockey world yesterday came out of Detroit, and that's that Dylan Larkin has asked Steve Eiserman and the Red Wings

management to trade him.

Now, in some cases, these are speculation or single-sourced stories from less than reputable

or not reputable at all outlets.

None of that's the case here.

This story was put out by Larkin's agent to a major Canadian outlet and has since been

confirmed multiple times over by multiple real outlets.

So it's not some rumor.

What's more, I can't begin to conceive of how serious Larkin must be

to have allowed this to become public

when one considers that all 11 of his NHL seasons,

have been with the Red Wings, the past five as captain,
