Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories. Number one. The Senate rejected a measure yesterday

to block President Donald Trump from striking Iran. This was the fourth time a war powers resolution has failed in the

Senate since the start of the Iran War at the end of February. The procedural vote failed 47 to 52.

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky joined Democrats to support the resolution. Speaking to Newsmax after the vote, he explained

why. Well, you know, the Constitution is pretty clear. We debated this at the Constitutional

Convention. The founding fathers said that they didn't want the power to declare or initiate war

to be with the president. They wanted it to be with Congress. So the way you go to war

constitutionally, if and when you go to war, is there has to be a debate in Congress and Congress

should vote to declare or to initiate war. That stephousin happens. Meanwhile, Democratic Senator John

Federman of Pennsylvania broke with his party to vote against the resolution.
