I think that segues somewhat nicely into the next topic, which is the rights of animals through a libertarian philosophical lens.

Where should we start with this?

I mean, I guess I've never thought about the rights of animals, actually.

So I don't even know where to start.

Yeah, you know, it's really a sensitive topic.

It really is.

And there are, again, many different spiritual traditions that actually advocate for a lot of rights for animals, including veganism and out of ethical reasons, right, is important.

And, you know, funnily, this is not just, you know, Hindu or Buddhism, but actually also in

Christianity.

You know, if you go back to the Bible, to Genesis, and I quote, then God said, I give you every seed-bearing

plant on the face of the whole earth, and every tree that has fruit with seed in it,

they will be yours for food.

And so it clearly actually states that seed-bearing trees and fruits are to be food and not animals, right?

Which I always found a very interesting conundrum.

But Rothbard brings here a very consistent argument to why the rights of humans do not apply to animals.

And if I'm not mistaken, later in the Bible it says something to the effect of God giving all of the animals of the land and birds of the sea to man to do it as he wishes.

That actually comes before, and again I quote, then God said, let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, the livestock and all the wild animals and over all

the creatures that move along the ground. I didn't hear obviously it says to rule over them,
