| 0:28.3 | And one of the things that this week perhaps you would have noticed is how seldom I use the word concentration. |
| 0:38.7 | And in the kind of phrase that I use for each day this week, |
| 0:46.3 | the quality that's being emphasized is not a concentration. |
| 0:51.2 | So samadhi is simplicity. |
| 0:57.4 | Samadhi is subtleness. |
| 1:01.1 | Samadhi is steadiness. |
| 1:04.7 | Samadhi is spaciousness. |
| 1:07.5 | And today, samadhi is sweetness. |
| 1:13.3 | And so maybe the closest thing to concentration in those five is steadiness. |
| 1:20.4 | But to be steady with your presence, be steady in your awareness. |
| 1:28.3 | To be steady here with a practice. |
| 1:33.3 | And these five qualities don't have to be separate. |
| 1:38.3 | They can be part of the same state that we're in. |
| 1:43.3 | We can be sitting in a state of simplicity |
| 1:46.5 | where meditation is not something complicated, |
| 1:50.9 | it's not an engineering feat. |
| 1:52.3 | It's not a complicated thing to do. |
| 1:55.3 | It's almost like an undoing, a not doing, |
| 1:59.5 | more than it's a doing, and that it is a settling, a settling |
